The main problem that occurs with small headphones is the interruption of your circuit at some point. Continuity test checks whether the cause of malfunction is the circuit interruption. Once verified that this is the cause of the problem the technician check that point of the circuit to see if is there the problem. If is the plug, usually just solder the wire or change the plug is the solution. If the problema is in the cable, already gave some indications on how to proceed and how to find the breakpoint.

If the problem is the phone itself we have the following possibilities:

a) One is in the capsule shown in Figure 1

Figure 1 - Checking the capsule of a handset.

This unit is only fitted to the base and eventually sudden movements of the phone falls or hits can make her skirt, reaching in some cases to get loose within the housing fone. Se the problem is this just fit carefully the working site the unit and the handset returns to function normally.

b) Electrical Fails

Watching carefully the voice coil connection point of the earpiece capsule the reader can check if there is a cuto.If this happens, very carefully, the connection can be remade, using for this purpose soldering iron with very fine tip. If the enameled wire needs to be scraped it should be done with a razor blade very carefully, because it is extremely thin wire. If the interruption is internal, that is, in itself coil, repair is impossible. In this case, the unit can be exchanged as these units are separated for sale.

c) Problems of deformation or dirt.

The deformations in the capsule can prevent the reproduction of sound, causing distortion or loss of income. In this case, however, if a foreign body is the cause of the problem, preventing the free movement of the diaphragm or the coil, very carefully it can be removed. One should pay special attention to this operation the coil windings are not met, as this may cause short or interruptions that definitely spoil the capsule.
