The procedure for discovering a breakpoint in a cable also serves for the case of coomon wires, in a facility for example. Connect to output an audio generator or an audio amplifier to a wire in which a break has found, as shown in Figure 1.

With a pick up coil connected to the input of a small signal amplifier or follower follows the wire picking up the signal until the point at which the signal disappears or decreases in intensity. At this point we have a break.
