We found this thyristor power supply in a 1987 documentation. It uses common SCRs as rectifiers and can supply currents up to 5 A. The transformer has 5 A secondary and the SCRs must be mounted on good heat sinks. This source is not recommended for feeding audio circuits by the noise it can generate.
