“It is said that the solder, because it contains lead, should not be touched. How to handle the solder correctly?”

In fact, the presence of lead in ordinary welding makes it a toxic product that should be used with caution. Although hand contact is not as dangerous, it is recommended to wash your hands thoroughly after use and never put your hand in your mouth or solder itself, as many professionals do. The best thing is to avoid contact. Use the solder holding the card or tube without touching it. Also avoid inhaling smoke or vapor that comes out of the point being soldered when applying heat. By current RoHS standards next generation devices will be coming out with leadless solder, much less environmentally friendly and also non-toxic. However, its melting point is higher, requiring welding processes different from current ones. Many appliances that follow this standard require the use of special welders for repairs.
