“I have a transformer that is plugged into the power grid to convert 110 V into 220 V for an appliance. This transformer "snores" a lot. What to do to reduce this snoring?”

Many transformers "snore" because their plates vibrate at the frequency of the grid and this is because they may not be properly tightened. Take this transformer and retighten the screws that secure the plates. This can cause snoring to be reduced or even disappear.
