The filter coefficient to an RC configuration is defined as the ratio between Vwout and Vwin as in the LC filter. The next formulas are used to calculate this coefficient:

Filter coefficient:

α = Vwout / Vwin

**Where: **

α is the filter coefficient

Vwout is the amplitude of the alternating component at filter's output in volts (V)

Vin is the amplitude of the alternating component at the filter's output in volts (V)

Filter coefficient as function of RC:

α is the filter coefficient

ω = 2 x π x f where f is the Vac frequency at the filter's input in hertz (Hz)

R is the resistance in ohm (Ω)

F is the capacitance in farads (F)
