When a device drains current from a voltage divider loading It, the voltage must be calculated by the next formulas.

 


 

 

 

Formula 1

V2 = V x [ (R2 x R3) / (R1 x R2 + R2 x R3 + R1 x R3) ]

 

Where:

V2 is the voltage accross the loaded resistor (R2) in volts (V)

V is the voltage applied to the divider in volts (V)

R1 and R2 are the resistors in the voltage divider in ohm (Ω)

R3 is the load resistance in ohm (Ω)
