This old variable power supply with PNP transistor was obtained in an Argentine publication from the 1970s. The circuit can be assembled with a TIP32 transistor and the diodes can be 1N4002 or 1N4004. The transformer must have a 12 V x 500 mA secondary and the transistor must have a heat radiator. The source has no protection against short circuits at the output.
