This traditional triac dimmer configuration was obtained in a 1987 documentation. The circuit can control resistive loads of up to 8 amps with the indicated triac, but above 100 W (1 A) it must be equipped with a heat sink. The capacitors must eventually be changed to obtain control over the full range of intensities.
