In the figure we have the way of modulating in frequency the rectangular signal generated by an oscillator with the 4093. The supply can be done with voltages from 3 to 15 V and the frequency is determined by the capacitor. In some cases, a resistor from 1k to 100k must be connected in series with the base of the transistor.
