This circuit protects the speakers in case the amplifiers have problems. With a continuous voltage greater than 3 V in any speaker, it turns them off, thus protecting their integrity. The circuit is from 2001 but uses common components. Only the relay that has sets of reversible contacts can be more difficult to obtain.
