This linear control or dimmer for small incandescent lamps was found in documentation from the 1980s. The circuit can use any power FET that supports the controlled lamp current. Eventually, the FET must be equipped with a heat sink. The circuit works with voltages from 6 V depending only on the voltage of the controlled lamp.
