The angular frequency is measured in radians per second (rd/s).

Formula 1

w = 2 x p x f

Where:

w is the angular frequency in radians per second (rd/s)

p = 3,1416

f is the frequency in hertz (Hz)

Formula 2

f = w / (2 x p)

Application example:

Calculate the angular frequency of a 100 Hz alternating electric current.

Data:

F = 100 Hz

w = ?

Applying formula 1:

 w = 2 x 3,14 x 100 = 628 rd/s
