This circuit, obtained in a 1981 English magazine, is nothing more than a sound switch. Placed near the phone, it fires with a louder sound (which can be remote) to alert you to the call. The circuit works with voltages from 6 to 9 V and the transistor can be the BD135. The microphone is a piezoelectric type and the trimpot adjusts the trigger point.
