The 8038 integrated circuit consists of a function generator. This component, indicated in a 1974 circuit, is not very easy to obtain. The indicated circuit can generate signals from 5 to 100 kHz with 10 to 15 V supply and capacitor C can have values from 100 pF to 100 nF. The adjustment pot is 1 M.
