This circuit generates a control tone that serves to adjust amplifiers, check audio cables. The circuit was obtained in a 1978 publication. The transformer can be obtained from an old radio transistor that is no longer in use. You can exchange the 47k resistor for a 100k trimpot in series with a 1k resistor.
