This circuit was obtained in an Argentine publication from 1973. The original version uses germanium transistors that are no longer common today. Resistor R depends on the type of microphone. For crystal microphones its value is 47k; for 100k ceramic microphones and for dynamic microphones, the value depends on Z being between 2k and 10k.
