The circuit shown in Figure 3 is used to control voice coil micromotors, such as those used to drive the focus of digital cameras, video cameras, and other similar applications. The integrated circuit is the A3907 from Allegro Micro (www.allgeromicro.com). The datasheet with the circuit specifications can be downloaded directly from the company's website. The circuit operates with voltages from 2.2 V to 5.5 V and has a resolution of 100 µA. It also has a 10-bit DAC.(2010)
