This circuit, when connected to the 110 V power grid makes it possible to test capacitors with voltages above 150 V. In the 220 V network, it tests capacitors of more than 300 V. The capacitor is loaded in S1 in A and then discharged if in B. If the capacitor retains the charge, the LED flashes or lights for a few seconds.
