Space sounds from gunshots of laser beams or the like, which we hear in movies like Star Wars and others, can be imitated with electronic circuits, some even quite simple. This is the case of this project, suitable for beginners who want an assembly of effect that can be realized with few components of low cost.

To generate a "spatial" sound similar to a laser gun shot, we use a simple oscillator, but with good power, which conveniently installed in a box with cable becomes an interesting toy.

The circuit is powered by two or four batteries, depending on the desired power. The assembly of this device is very simple and, for this reason, it is indicated to the students and beginners who still do not have much practice in the treatment of components.

To produce a kind of high-pitched whistle, we used an audio oscillator with two transistors. The frequency of this whistle is basically given by capacitor C2 and by R1. You can change these components to modify the sound.

A larger capacitor results in a lower sound and a lower sound results in a higher sound.

Duration lasts shot and its tonal variation, which mimics a very sharp bullet rebound, is given by C1. This component can also be changed.

When we pull the trigger C1, it will charge and when it is released it will unload causing the descending sound.

The intensity depends on the food. If you want to sound too loud, replace Q2 with a TIP32 and mount it on a heatsink by powering the circuit with 9 or 12 V.

In figure 3 we give a suggestion of assembly in a box imitating a weapon, where the trigger is a pressure switch.
