We found this practical idea that we have already explored in our most recent article, as modifications, in a Radio Craft from 1942. The circuit uses a transformer with a low voltage winding and high current to generate a secondary voltage proportional to the power of the device that is connected in series. For the 127 V network, the transformer must have 1 A for a maximum power of 120 W.
