The presented circuit allows to control the valve of a tap. The positioning of the emitter and the infrared receiver must be done in such a way that they are pointing the same point in the space to reflect the radiation beam when a person's hand is placed under the tap. With this, the reflection of the infrared beam will trigger the circuit, acting on the solenoid valve through a timer circuit. The author used the reflection trigger mode can obtain a better operation than by the interrupt mode. The activation time will be determined by setting P2. P1 controls the sensitivity of the circuit to trigger.
